Todays brown bag and pushing for the stars

Hello again,

For this week, it has been a pretty rough one. I dealt with a Monday being burnt out on everything. I was learning everyday and was starting to feel a little bit burnt out on everything that was being thrown at me. I felt burnt out because I felt like I wasn't moving forward with my life and that I was stuck in the middle of the mud with all this hoping in my head. It suddenly came to me though, why I started looking for a good coding school and why I started this blog in the first and that was to make something out of myself. The reason why I decided to go with a coding school and to not continue with college was to prove the people that doubted me wrong. I wanted to shut them up and prove a point. For me to accomplish this though would require me a tremendous amount of work. I know my path and I want to set things straight. I started all of this so I can have a sense of belonging in my family.

Just today we had our brown bag from austen today about startups. There was a lot of good information he gave us about funding and the process of building a startup from the groundup. The best part about the brown bag though was being able to ask questions about the future of the school and also their hiring partners. He gave us a clear explanation of how they started lambda school and how it became what it is today. Ben who is one of the founders, wrote a whole bunch of the curriculum and tried to make something that is very different from the bootcamps that we see today. Their objective is to be different and that is one of the things that I like about lambda school; is that they are different from the competition. My whole life I would to be different from the others and prove a point in why I should be given a chance, that is why I choose lambda school, because they are basically trying to achieve the same thing as me but in different matters.  This is the only the beginning and I have a lot to take care of, persistence is in my pursuit and the only way to achieve my goal is to stay on route of it, and keep being optimistic.
